Hemastix blood reagent strips were primarily designed to detect blood in urine. They work equally as well in detecting blood in minute quantities at a crime scene. Use a swab wetted with sterile water to soften and absorb the substance, then place on the end of the Hemastix and check the colour against the chart on the container.
