BLUESTAR® FORENSIC is a new reagent whose purpose is to reveal blood stains that have been washed out, wiped off or which are invisible to the naked eye. This product is intended for crime investigators.
Based upon chemiluminescence, its unique formula qualifies it as the most effective blood revealer available on the market, for crime scene as well as forensic lab use.
BLUESTAR® FORENSIC does not alter the DNA of the revealed blood which allows for its subsequent genotyping. It is also compatible with ABO typing. Furthermore, it is non toxic and easy to prepare and use.

A compact and lightweight multi-use product. Each box provides the investigator with the possibility to prepare 4 times 125 ml (4 oz) of BLUESTAR® FORENSIC working solution or 500 ml (16 oz) at once.

4 pairs of individually and hermetically sealed tablets. Each pair holds one beige tablet (the reagent) and one white tablet (catalyst).
How to prepare the solution
To prepare the working solution, you will need to dissolve a pair of tablets (white + beige) in 125 ml (4 oz) of distilled water in a bottle equipped with a fine mist atomizer. Or use the 4 pairs at once if you need 500 ml (16 oz).

BLUESTAR® FORENSIC TABLETS 8 APPLICATIONS
8 pairs of tablets for 8 applications
A very compact and lightweight multi-use product. Each pack provides the investigator with the possibility to prepare 8 times 125 ml (4 oz) of BLUESTAR® FORENSIC working solution or up to 1L (32 oz) if all tablets are used together.
Pack content
2 tubes of tablets and the user's manual. The red-top tube holds 8 beige tablets (the reagent) while the white-top tube holds 8 white tablets (catalyst).
To prepare the working solution,
You will need to dissolve a pair of tablets (white + beige) in 125 ml (4 oz) of distilled water in a bottle equipped with a fine mist atomizer. Or use the 8 pairs at once if you need 1 L (32 oz).

BLUESTAR® FORENSIC MAGNUM
3 times more powerful than the regular BLUESTAR® FORENSIC, has been especially formulated for the critical cases when minute blood particles are searched for (microscopic droplets that have been projected onto an agressor's clothing for instance). Such droplets, invisible to the naked eye, and even under a magnifyer, are sometimes the only evidence available to confound a murderer. With the MAGNUM version, their discovery is easier thanks to the increased sensitivity and intensity of the luminescence.
The MAGNUM is also very useful when searching for blood on washed garments (or other objects). Its higher sensitivity helps to make blood stains stand out.
Particularly suited for forensic lab technicians who need an extremely efficient chemical for detailed examination of items such as clothing or weapons. It is also usable in a variety of situations, in a laboratory or at a crime scene that involves a limited search area or vertical and smooth surfaces, using the outstanding ECOSPRAY. The combination MAGNUM + ECOSPRAY is a winner in such cases as it avoids drippings while still producing a strong luminescence. As the product won't run, performing morphoanalysis is still possible after spraying BLUESTAR.

Immunochromatographic test for confirming the presence of human blood traces
The HEXAGON OBTI test is an ideal complement to BLUESTAR® FORENSIC but can also be used independently.
This test is very simple to use. The rapid screening test verifies that a bloodstain is human blood. When the result is positive, you know you are in presence of human blood.
Human hemoglobin (hHb) reacts with the conjugate composed of blue particles and monoclonal anti-human hemoglobin antibodies.
THEXAGON OBTI is the perfect complement to BLUESTAR® FORENSIC.
HEXAGON OBTI is a two-part test : a collection tube for the blood sample, and a test bar.
A sample of the presumed human blood trace is transferred into the tube with transport medium. This mixture is added drop by drop to the test. A positive sample is typically detected within 2-3 minutes.
A single blue line means the testing liquid is working fine but no human blood has been detected, two blue lines mean the test has detected human blood.
Each box includes 24 collection tubes and 24 tests.
